Lecture for the students on issues relating to the application of the electoral legislation
On April 20th, 2019, the capacity-building workshop was held with the participation of the students of the Faculty of Law of KFU within the implementation of the second stage of the «School of the suffrage» educational project which is organized by the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the Kazan Federal University.
Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Zagidullin R.I. welcomed the students of the Kazan Federal University and described the procedure of settling suffrage disputes, the kinds of legal responsibility for violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation on the suffrage.
Minister asked students about the application of the electoral legislation during the meeting, described the objectives and areas of activities of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, prospective projects carried out in the Ministry and others.
Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Kazan Federal University Sultanov E.B. also addressed the event as a lecturer.
The second stage of the «School of the suffrage» capacity-building workshop takes place as part of the activities to improve the legal literacy of voters, upgrade and develop the suffrage technologies in the Republic of Tatarstan. The ongoing training activities are target-oriented and have specific objective – to increase electoral activity among youth, draw attention of students to participate in politics, organization and conduct of the elections. The second stage of project will continue until the end of April 2019.
