Rustam Minnikhanov delivered his annual address to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, addressed the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Head of the Republic addressed the forty-sixth session of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan at the S. Saidashev State Concert Hall. The event was attended by RT Minister of Justice Rustem Zagidullin.
One of the key statements of the message was assistance to servicemen and their families.
In his speech, Rais noted that the republic has already established work to provide comprehensive assistance, including the organization of recreation for children, providing places in kindergartens, exemption from parental fees, providing free hot meals in educational organizations, as well as all kinds of social, legal and psychological assistance.
Free legal assistance is particularly in demand and relevant today for those who have been mobilized, are performing military service or are carrying out tasks as volunteers. Every day in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan specialists of the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan and lawyers receive participants of the SWO. At the beginning of the year legal assistance was provided to more than 145 servicemen.
In addition, the Tatarstan State Legal Bureau actively cooperates with the branch of the State Fund for Support of Participants of the Special Military Operation "Defenders of the Fatherland" in the Republic of Tatarstan. Since June 16, 2023, the Agreement between the State Commission and the Fund has been in force. Within the framework of the Agreement, all applicants are helped in resolving legal issues and assisted in preparing draft applications to the authorized bodies.
"One of the tasks of the legal community is to provide assistance in solving national tasks. Since the beginning of mobilization, servicemen, mobilized, volunteers and members of their families often face various problems, the solution of which requires qualified legal support," said Rustem Zagidullin after the meeting.
The Minister also reminded that in the Republic of Tatarstan the list of categories of citizens entitled to free legal aid has been expanded.
"Now the republican law gives the right to free legal aid not only to those who are now directly in the zone of the SSO, but also to those who have already returned, as well as persons who performed their combat missions since May 2014", - explained Rustem Zagidullin.
The range of issues on which one can apply has been expanded: payment of compensations and assignment of social benefits, recognition of persons as missing or dead.
