Ministry of Justice of RT: More than 270 residents of remote areas of Tatarstan received free legal assistance

The right to receive qualified legal assistance is a constitutional guarantee. At the same time, according to the Russian Constitution, in certain cases such assistance is provided free of charge. In Tatarstan every ninth resident has the right to receive free legal aid. This was stated by Ainur Galimov, First Deputy Minister of Justice, speaking at the first session of the School of Legal Knowledge in the 2023-2024 academic year. The topic of the speech was devoted to the activities of the Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan and the provision of free legal aid in the republic.

In cases stipulated by the law, legal aid is provided free of charge. In our republic first of all such assistance is provided by the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan subordinated to the Ministry of Justice. For 9 months of the current year 1471 persons received free legal assistance, including 456 persons by phone "hot line". Most often the employees are addressed on the issues of housing, family legislation, consumer rights protection, social support measures and pension provision.

"We are also thinking about simplifying the process of providing free legal aid for residents of remote areas of the republic. Therefore, the employees of the State Legal Bureau regularly organize field visits to provide legal assistance. For 9 months of the current year more than 30 field events were held in the municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan, which provided assistance to more than 270 residents of the republic", - said the first deputy minister.

In his speech Ainur Galimov also drew the attention of the audience to the importance of the state platform of free legal assistance "Vprave.rf, through which citizens can quickly find comprehensive information on how and where to get free legal assistance in various life situations.
