On the basis of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan is actively operating.
Employees of the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan provide free legal advice to residents entitled to free legal assistance, including military personnel and their families, and help prepare documents for court.
Marat Sharafutdinov, Chief Specialist of the State Legal Bureau, was approached by an elderly man with a complaint about non-payment of wages. The man explained that since November 2022 he had been working as a security guard in one of the shopping centers of Kazan. He received his salary at the end of the month in accordance with the time worked.
In November 2023, he worked 7 days, after which he fell ill and did not return to work. Despite the number of days worked, the salary for November was not paid.
We remind you that Article 37 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation guarantees every citizen the right to remuneration for labor without any discrimination and not lower than the minimum wage established by federal law.
According to Article 142 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the employer and (or) duly authorized representatives of the employer, who allowed delayed payment of wages to employees and other violations of payment of labor, shall be liable in accordance with this Code and other federal laws.
"We have studied the documents and prepared an application to the prosecutor's office to conduct an inspection on the applicant's arguments about the violation of labor legislation. The wage arrears to the applicant were fully repaid," said Marat Sharafutdinov.
It should be noted that the provision of free legal aid corresponds to the objectives of the state program "Social Support of Citizens of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014-2025".
