2.5 thousand Tatarstan citizens received free legal assistance
The Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan is responsible for organizing the provision of free legal assistance in the republic. If in 2022 the focus of the work was on providing legal assistance to persons who were forced to leave Ukraine and mobilized residents of our republic, then in 2023 – to participants in a special military operation and their family members. This was announced today by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin at the final meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan.
As President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin noted, military personnel should feel that the country supports them and understands the role and mission they carry out within the framework of their military. The Republican law on free legal assistance, by analogy with federal legislation, has been amended. Now, military personnel participating or participating in the civil defense, mobilized, contractors, volunteers, and members of their families are also classified as citizens entitled to free legal assistance.
By the end of 2022, the State state-owned institution «State Legal Bureau» was established in the Republic of Tatarstan. According to the Minister, the State Legal Bureau is becoming the main subject in this area: out of 2.5 thousand citizens who received free legal assistance, more than 1,900 applied to the State Legal Bureau .
Speaking with the report, Rustem Ildusovich spoke about plans to include the functionality of «Free legal assistance» in the mobile application «Map of a resident of the Republic of Tatarstan». «The service will make it possible to bring information about free legal assistance to all users of the application and at the same time provide the opportunity to apply electronically to the State Legal Bureau with a legal issue», the minister explained. He also added that in 2024, the Ministry plans to organize the possibility of contacting specialists of the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan with video communication through the Multifunctional center.
