The historical Park «Russia – My History» is the largest multimedia complex in Russia, which covers the entire history of our vast country: from the vocation of the Varangians to Russia to the present day. The geography of the park covers the whole of Russia: from St. Petersburg to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, including the newly liberated territories of Melitopol and Lugansk.
The historical park is built on the principle of a «living textbook» on history, in which information is presented using the most modern laser equipment, tactile screens and interactive tables. Therefore, visitors to the park can not only observe the development of history, but also become its participants. Here, history can be studied in an interactive format that is designed for a wide audience.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, the Historical Park was established in 2017. Over 7 years, the site has been visited by more than 500,000 people, most of whom are students of educational institutions not only in the city of Kazan, but also throughout the republic. The Historical Park in the Republic of Tatarstan consists of four chronological expositions: «Rurikovich», «Romanov», «1914-1945: From Great Upheavals to Great Victory» and «Russia - my history: 1945-2016». Inseparably from the history of Russia, the «Pages of the Republic of Tatarstan» are presented here, telling about the creation of the Kazan Khanate before the events of the present time.
The Historical Park uses different forms of presentation of historical material on its site. Guided tours, lectures, intellectual games, and quests designed specifically for different age groups are held with the help of the presented expositions.
The main goal of all the events is to popularize the history of our fatherland among the younger generation of the Republic. For example, thematic excursions «Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War» were held from May 9 to 12, «Childhood in the Soviet Way» in honor of «Children's Day» and «Own game» to prepare for history exams in an interactive format.
Currently, Historical parks, in addition to education, serve as one of the outposts to prevent the falsification of history, improve historical literacy and preserve historical memory.
The park is not only a place where history «comes to life» and educational and patriotic events are held, but also a multimedia platform that provides an opportunity to introduce young and talented photographers, artists and hold entire media art festivals. So the residents and guests of Kazan managed to discover new tourist routes and places at the exhibition of photographer Alexander Sukharev «Russia is big and I cannot be found in it». Even the famous paintings in the multimedia park were presented in a new interpretation by motion designer Leila Darchievo. And of course, here you can consider digitized archival documents and artifacts about the adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria, a faith that became the foundation for the development of the spiritual and material culture of our republic.
Every year, a multimedia career guidance exhibition «Laboratory of the Future» is held at the park site for students in grades 6-11 as part of the implementation of the federal project «Ticket to the Future».
History is the witness of centuries, the torch of truth, the soul of memory, the mentor of life. You can find all this in the multimedia park!
