Today, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin took part in a round table on the organization of interdepartmental cooperation in the Republic of Tatarstan in terms of providing legal assistance to participants of the SVO and members of their children. The event was held in the Office of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan under the chairmanship of the Executive Director of the State Fund for Support of Participants in the special military operation «Defenders of the Fatherland» Yuri Khabrov.

«The conduct of a special military operation has adjusted the activities of the state. Today, in the republic, all state and municipal authorities are aimed at providing maximum assistance to the participants of the SMO and their family members. In total, over the past year, the participants of the state FLA system provided legal assistance to 286 participants of the FLA and their relatives, in the first half of this year – 310», - Rustem Zagidullin said, making a report.

The Minister recalled that in July last year, the republican law on free legal assistance was amended. The category of citizens eligible for such assistance includes military personnel who participate or participated in their military, mobilized, contractors, volunteers, and members of their families.

«Most often, they apply for free legal assistance on the following issues: monetary allowances for military personnel and providing them with separate payments in accordance with the law, providing benefits, social guarantees and compensations, establishing and challenging paternity (motherhood), collecting alimony», - he said.

By the decision of the Rais of Tatarstan, a State Legal Bureau was established in the republic, one of the key tasks of which is to provide legal assistance to participants of the civil society and members of their families.

A cooperation agreement has been signed between the State Legal Bureau and the branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, which is an important step in establishing partnerships in creating conditions for providing qualified free legal assistance to military personnel and their families. Every week on Thursdays, representatives of the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan hold a reception for citizens at the Foundation's site.
