The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan inform about safety rules for summer road trips

With the start of the summer travel season, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan are issuing an important reminder to residents and visitors of the republic about the need to observe safety regulations when traveling by car.

Advice from experts before traveling:

• Check weather conditions along the entire route
• Check the technical condition of your vehicle
• Inform your family about your trip and arrival time
• Find out the location of gas stations and rest areas in advance
• When traveling with children, ensure they are properly secured in car seats

A number of strict driving restrictions apply: drunk driving, driving while tired, and using a phone without a hands-free device.

«Complying with work and rest schedules is critically important — no more than 700 km per day, with a break every 4.5 hours. Summer travel should be not only enjoyable but also safe», - the departments emphasize.
