Visit of a delegation of Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe
On March 6th, Minister of Justice Zagidullin R.I. had a meeting with the members of a delegation of Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. Representatives of Congress Jakob Wienen, Stewart Dickson, Nikolaos-Komninos Chlepas, and Stephanie Poirel paid a one-day working visit with a view to exploring the implemented provisions of the European Charter of local self-government – international document ratified by our country in 1998 to the Republic of Tatarstan.
Minister had introduced the activity of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan to the guests and described the cooperation between the executive and local government bodies, the providing legal support to municipalities for norm-setting, the provision of free legal assistance to the citizens by the ministry, the involvement of the public in dealing with issues of local significance.
Deputy Head of the International Relations Department of the Federation Council Office Kartzev N.A., Adviser to the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Gavrilov O.E., Deputy Minister of Justice Ibyatov M.M., Head of the Division for Territorial Organization and Control in the Local Self-Government Sphere of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Kasymova G.I. also participated in the meeting.
