26 March 2024, Tuesday

Today, at a joint meeting of the Committee of the State Council of Tatarstan on Law and Order and its Expert Council, First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Ainur Galimov presented a draft resolution on the termination of the operation of the information system «Free legal assistance» in the republic.

According to the first deputy minister, the information system «Free legal assistance» has been functioning in the republic since 2019. The system was used to send documents for the remuneration of lawyers providing free legal assistance to residents of Tatarstan.

Today, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation is gradually implementing the information system «Unified State Portal of Legal Education and free legal assistance». During its development, the experience of the Republic of Tatarstan in terms of using the information system «BUP» was taken into account.

«Identical data on the provision of free legal services are entered both in a Single portal and in the BUP system. In order to avoid duplication of functions and optimize work in the designated area, it is proposed to stop the operation of the republican system», - explained Ainur Galimov.

For these purposes, the draft resolution provides for amendments to a number of resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
