Meeting of the Council on realization of legislation on languages of the Republic of Tatarstan

On January 21st, 2020, Minister of Justice Rustem Zagidullin took part in the meeting of the Council on realization of legislation on languages of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Chamber of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan which was held on the Government House of the Republic  by the chairmanship of Prime-Minister of of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin.

Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan monitors the enforcement of indicator “Share of laws and regulations published in Tatar language in due course”. One of the sources of  the official publishing is Official portal of legal information of the Republic of Tatarstan (pravo.tatarstan.ru) where laws are placed in Tatar and Russian languages.

Rustem Zagidullin told that all laws of executive authorities which were adopted in 2019, were published in two languages while in  2018 this amount was 94%. Increasing of indicator was noted in the with respect to the municipal laws. And if in 2018 only 28% of documents were translated in Tatar language, last year this amount was 86%.

Minister noted the necessity of increasing of quality of laws and regulations translation.

“Texts in Russian and Tatar language must be identical and exclude ambiguous perception of text content. For the organization of this work in the 3d quarter of 2019 on base of High School of State and Municipal management of Kazan “Volga region) Federal University refresher courses for translators whose position were established in executive committees since June 1st were held”, – said Minister.

Head of the President Office of the Republic of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, Deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhrasiev, representatives of the Ministries and bodies of the Republic  and Heads of the municipal bodies took part in the meeting.
