Meeting of the Council for the Implementation of Legislation on Languages of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today, in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the results of the work on the implementation of the legislation on the state languages of Tatarstan in 2020.
The Minister of Justice Rustem Zagidullin spoke about the implementation of the legislation on the state languages of Tatarstan during the meeting. The Minister noted that out of 15 indicators of the implementation of legislation set for executive bodies, 12 indicators were achieved in 2020 and 5 indicators were achieved out of 10 set for local self-government bodies.
"The number of certificates of state registration of acts of civil status issued in two state languages has increased, and there is also an increase in the number of theatrical and entertainment events, more than half of which are held in the Tatar language. In addition, over the past year, the number of citizens ' appeals in the Tatar language has increased 20 times, the answers to which were sent in the language of the appeal," the minister said.
Rustem Zagidullin also drew attention to the fact that from February 1 to September 1, 2021, a competition is being held to attract residents of the republic to identify errors in names on signs, information signs, road signs in the Tatar language, and called on the heads of districts and cities to actively inform citizens about the competition.
