New legislation on local self-government.
On May 17, 2021, the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 29-ZRT of May 5, 2021 "On Amendments to Articles 20 and 35 of the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan "On Local Self-Government in the Republic of Tatarstan" comes into force.
The Law of the Republic of Tatarstan of July 28, 2004 No. 45-ZRT "On local self-government in the Republic of Tatarstan" was amended to establish that a meeting of citizens on the introduction and use of means of self-taxation of citizens can be held in part of the territory of a locality.
The boundaries of a part of the territory of a locality are determined by the representative body of the municipality based on the interests of the residents of the specified part of the territory.
The adoption of Law No. 29-ZRT requires amendments to the municipal legal acts that establish the procedure for holding a meeting of citizens on self-taxation issues on the territory of the municipality.
Law No. 29-ZRT was published on the Official Portal of Legal Information of the Republic of Tatarstan on May 6, 2021.
