A meeting of the working group of the Interdepartmental coordination committee on legal issues was held at the Ministry of Justice under the chairmanship of Ainur Galimov, First Deputy Minister of Justice.
At the meeting members of the working group discussed the draft law of the Republic of Tatarstan "On Amending Article 135 of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Tatarstan", the developer of which is the Main Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Rustam Shayakhmetov, head of the legal department of the Main Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, presented the bill, according to which it is proposed to refer gulls and terns, except for rare species, to hunting resources in the republic.
"The specified species of birds are permanent inhabitants of hunting grounds of the Republic of Tatarstan and spreaders of highly pathogenic influenza virus among domestic and wild birds," the speaker explained.
According to him, the bill will allow to regulate the number of birds in the framework of recreational and sport hunting, as well as promptly make decisions to regulate their numbers in case of quarantine and other restrictions aimed at preventing the spread and elimination of foci of contagious and other diseases of hunting resources within the framework of anti-epizootic measures in the Republic of Tatarstan.
According to the results of the discussion the draft law, taking into account the comments received on it, was sent for finalization.
