In Tatarstan, the categories of participants eligible for free legal aid have been expanded
In the Republic of Tatarstan the list of categories of citizens entitled to free legal aid has been expanded.
So from July of this year the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan and lawyers will provide free legal assistance to military personnel, employees of the Russian Federal Guard, mobilized persons, participants of volunteer formations, as well as members of their families.
"The republican law on free legal aid has been amended to expand the categories of participants of the SVOs entitled to such assistance. The right to free legal aid has been granted not only to those who are now directly in the SSO zone, but also to those who have already returned, as well as to persons who performed their combat missions starting from May 2014," notes Ainur Galimov, First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic.
In addition, the range of issues on which one can apply has been expanded. "Participants of the state system of free legal aid, will provide counseling, in particular, on the payment of compensation and the appointment of social benefits. Family members will be provided assistance on the issues of recognizing persons as missing or dead", - added the first deputy minister.
