The spouse of a SMO participant who died in the special military operation zone contacted the State Legal Bureau of Tatarstan.

A resident of Kazan who applied for free legal assistance said that she had lived with her husband for 10 years. In 2023, her husband voluntarily went to the SMO zone.

As explained by the chief specialist of the State Legal Bureau, Ekaterina Ryzhova, after the death of the soldier, it turned out that there were discrepancies in the last name and first name in the documents of his father and mother, which cast doubt on their family ties. In this regard, it was necessary to establish their relationship through the court.

Lawyers of the State Legal Bureau filed a statement to the court, and, having presented the necessary evidence, achieved the correction of inaccuracies in the documents. As a result, the applicant received the federal payments due to her.

In addition, the spouse learned that her husband was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage for his bravery during the performance of combat missions.

«Now we continue to work on receiving regional payments, which are also due to the widow of a participant of the SMO, as well as payments for the Order of Courage», - added Ekaterina Ryzhova.

Providing free legal assistance is in line with the goals and objectives of the national project «Demography», which is aimed at supporting the well-being of citizens. The State Legal Bureau continues to actively work with the population, helping those who need legal protection and support in difficult life situations.
