Almost 6 thousand participants of the special military operation and members of their families received free legal assistance in Tatarstan

Today in Verkhny Uslon a field meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic was held with the participation of the Minister of Justice of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin. At the meeting they discussed the measures of support for participants and veterans of the special military operation and members of their families, provided in the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the conditions of the special military operation there was an adjustment of the directions of activity in many spheres of state administration, among which is the system of free legal aid. In Tatarstan free legal aid is provided in accordance with the republican law «On providing free legal aid to citizens in the Republic of Tatarstan» and the state program «Development of Justice in the Republic of Tatarstan».

Earlier Rustem Zagidullin noted that in June 2023 the republican law on free legal aid was amended. The category of citizens entitled to such assistance includes servicemen who participate or participated in a special military operation, mobilized, contract workers, volunteers, members of their families.

Since 2022, a total of 5,725 participants of the special military operation and their family members have received free legal assistance. Most often participants of the special military operation and members of their families apply on the following issues: monetary allowances to military personnel and provision of certain payments to them in accordance with the legislation, provision of benefits, social guarantees and compensations to participants of the special military operation, establishment and contestation of paternity (maternity), collection of alimony.

In order to provide free legal assistance in remote areas of the republic in the Sabinsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan since April 2024 operates a branch of the State Legal Bureau, which is located at the address: Bogatye Saby settlement, 22A, Tynychlyk str.
