Tatarstan celebrates 25 years of justice of the peace: one of the first justices of the peace recalls how it all began
On the 25th anniversary of justice of the peace in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry continues a series of publications about people whose professional life is inextricably linked with the creation and development of the institution of justices of the peace.
Rinat Saifutdinov, a retired justice of the peace, was among those appointed by the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan in the fall of 2000. He devoted 15 years of his professional activity to the administration of justice in the Mamadysh district. During his years of service, Rinat Rakhimovich considered more than 20,000 cases.
«When we first started, everything was done manually - from filling out documents to keeping accounting logs. Computers appeared much later», - he says in an interview.
Today, the situation has changed dramatically. Especially after 2014, when by decision of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, the state program «Development of Justice in the Republic of Tatarstan» was approved. The creation of modern and comfortable conditions for residents of the republic who apply to justices of the peace is a priority.
Thanks to Rustam Minnikhanov, the infrastructure of the justice of the peace is improving, decent conditions for the administration of justice are being created. Over 25 years, major repairs have been carried out at 152 court stations.
