Rustam Minnikhanov won the elections of Rais of Tatarstan - the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan approved the election results
88.09% of voters cast their vote for Rustam Minnikhanov.
«Recognize the elections of the head (Rais) of the Republic of Tatarstan as valid and accomplished. Consider Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov elected to the post of (head) of Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan», - said Andrey Kondratyev, head of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Khafiz Mirgalimov, received 4.97% of the votes, the candidate from the Russian Party of Pensioners for Social Justice, Vitaly Smirnov, received 1.90%, and the candidate from the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, Ruslan Yusupov, received 4.20% of the votes.
A total of 2.2 million people, or 75.85% of the total number of voters in the republic, took part in the elections.
