The Ministry of emergency situations and the Ministry of justice of Tatarstan remind about safety in conditions of continued snow cover on the roads
Calendar spring has officially entered into its own rights, however, the streets and roads of Tatarstan cities are still covered with significant snow cover. Due to the continuing winter conditions, the Ministry of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the Ministry of emergency situations, remind car owners of the need to comply with the rules of operation of vehicles in the cold season.
«The spring period is often deceptive — temperature fluctuations and snow cover create additional risks for drivers. We urge citizens not to lose their vigilance and continue to take precautions», - the Ministry of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan noted.
Basic recommendations for car drivers:
- - It is strictly forbidden to use an open flame (blowtorches, gas burners) to heat the car
- - Do not use homemade warming devices
- - Warm up the car gradually, in several stages
- - If it is impossible to start the engine yourself, contact our specialists
- - Use only certified materials to insulate the engine
- - Check the condition of the electrical wiring and contacts regularly
Experts also remind you to have a serviceable fire extinguisher in the car. In case of fire, it should be directed to the gorenje of the most intense combustion, while it is not recommended to use water to extinguish the fire in the engine compartment.
The Ministry of emergency situations additionally warns about possible complications of the road situation in the coming days due to the predicted temperature changes and reminds drivers of the need to maintain increased attention on the roads.
