A meeting of the Council of Judges of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in Kazan. In his report, Justice Minister Rustem Zagidullin specifically addressed the security of courtrooms.
The Minister emphasized that the security of courtrooms is a priority for the Ministry of Justice of the Republic. «Currently, all buildings of the courtrooms of justices of the peace in the Republic are equipped with modern security systems, including video surveillance, access control systems, and metal detectors», - noted Rustem Zagidullin.
According to the Minister, bailiffs provide security for the buildings and premises of courtrooms during working hours, and outside of working hours, the facilities are protected by fire and security alarms. Particular attention is being paid to the technical equipment of checkpoints. All checkpoints are equipped with computers containing electronic databases of fugitives from justice, debtors under enforcement proceedings, as well as databases for tracing debtors, their property, and children.
«To quickly respond to emergency situations, all court stations are equipped with panic buttons that connect to the security control panel», - the minister stated.
To enhance security at court stations, a series of joint exercises with the bailiff service is planned for 2026. The minister explained that the exercises will take place in the Mendeleyevsky and Alekseevsky Districts of Tatarstan, as well as in the Moskovsky District of Kazan. These events will allow staff to hone their emergency response skills. The first exercises were successfully completed in late March at court stations in the Novo-Savinovsky Judicial District.
