7 May 2026, Thursday

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan held a training seminar for employees of the offices of Justices of the Peace. The seminar discussed modern approaches to security in courtrooms.

Opening the seminar, Deputy Minister of Justice Marat Nizamiyev emphasized that knowledge and strict adherence to established rules and instructions by all employees in the event of a threat is the key to minimizing potential negative consequences.

Lenar Gainiev, Head of the Activity Assurance Department of Justice of the Peace, reiterated that access control at courtrooms is strictly regulated. All visitors undergo document checks and searches, and registration logs are maintained. If a threat is received through electronic channels, employees are required to retain all materials and immediately inform management and law enforcement agencies.

The seminar also included recommendations for actions in the event of the discovery of suspicious objects or hostage situations. For example, if a suspicious object is discovered, it is necessary to immediately report the discovery, not touch the object, and ensure the evacuation of people. In the event of hostage-taking, it is important to remain calm, comply with the hostage-takers' demands, and not provoke them.

Lenar Gainiev also reported that, in order to improve the level of interaction and practice personnel's actions in emergency situations, joint exercises with bailiffs are planned for 2026 at court stations in the Mendeleyevsky and Alekseevsky districts of the republic and the Moskovsky district of Kazan.
