Today, our great and beautiful country celebrates its main holiday—Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War. The Ministry's staff actively participated in the commemorative events dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory.
Rustem Zagidullin, Minister of Justice of Tatarstan, attended the commemorative events held in the Yelabuga District of the republic, where he congratulated the district's residents on this important day.
He also read an address from Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov to the people of Tatarstan, veterans of the front, and home front workers: «Victory Day reminds us of the terrible trials our ancestors endured. We are immensely grateful to the generation of victors, who resolutely and selflessly defended the freedom and independence of the Motherland».
The address specifically notes that the war touched every family and every home. It is emphasized that 700,000 people from Tatarstan went to the front, and for many of them, the war was their final test.
The republic played a huge role not only on the front lines but also in the rear. Kazan factories produced military equipment, enterprises supplied weapons and uniforms, and rural workers provided the front with food.
Our shared goal is to firmly guard the historical truth about the war and pass on the memory of the veterans' heroic deeds from generation to generation. This takes on particular significance in the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
The Minister noted that today, responsibility for the fate of the country, its security, and sovereignty has been assumed by new generations of defenders of the Fatherland—servicemen participating in the special military operation. The entire republic supports our servicemen and their families.
The Year of Military and Labor Valor in the Republic of Tatarstan is an opportunity to once again express our boundless respect for all those who served and continue to serve for the good of our Motherland during the Great Patriotic War, both at the front and in the rear.
The commemorative events in the capital of Tatarstan began with the traditional flower-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame memorial in Victory Park. Ministry employees then took part in the Immortal Regiment march, marching in columns with portraits of their loved ones who fought in the war.
Friends, we congratulate you on Victory Day!
We wish you good health, happiness, and prosperity!
Happy holiday! Happy Victory Day!
