The Tatarstan Ministry of Justice has issued a decree restricting alcohol sales during the Russia-ASEAN summit

Alcohol sales will be restricted in Kazan during the Russia-Asian Nations summit.

The corresponding decree, signed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin, was published by the republic's Ministry of Justice on the Official Legal Information Portal of Tatarstan.

According to the decree, the sale of alcoholic beverages will be prohibited on June 17 and 19. An exception is made for catering establishments.

Restricted areas

Summit venues:

  • Kazan Expo IEC
  • Kazan City Hall
  • Kamal Theater
  • Rameyev IT Park

Transport hubs: Kazan Airport, Kazan-1 Railway Station.

As well as hotels (27 properties): Hotel Art, Relita-Kazan, Korston, Grand Hotel Kazan, Kazan Palace by TASIGO, NEO Kazan Palace by TASIGO, Nogai, Cort Inn Kazan Kremlin, Munib, Ramada Kazan City Center, Cosmos Kazan Hotel, Olimp, Muse of City, Mirage, Dion Inn, Tatarstan, Suleiman Palace, Double Tree by Hilton Kazan City Center, RAYMOND, IT-Park Hotel, BULGAR, and Volga.

The measures taken are aimed at ensuring safety and a favorable environment during this significant international event in the capital of Tatarstan.
