Rustem Zagidullin visited Sabantuy in the Leningrad region

On Saturday, June 29, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin took part in the national Sabantuy holiday in the village of Encolovo in the Vsevolozhsky district of the Leningrad region.

Together with the Minister of Justice, the guests of honor at the plough festival were Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Presidium of the International Union of Public Associations «World Kurultai (Congress) Bashkir» Elvira Aitkulova, Deputy Head of the Yelabuga municipal District Roman Islamov.

Sabantuy is a favorite and widespread national holiday. Thousands of people gather for the traditional folk festival, which unites people of all ages, professions, nations and faiths living in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. It is a celebration of unity, friendship and mutual understanding.

For the first time in St. Petersburg, the city sabantuy was held in 1913 in the Yusupov Garden. As a permanent holiday, sabantuy was held before the Great Patriotic War starting in 1932. Since 1956 and to this day, Sabantuy has been held near the village of Encolovo in the Vsevolozhsky district of the Leningrad region.

Rustem Zagidullin congratulated the guests and participants of the Sabantuy and read out the greeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
