Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan will have the opportunity to appeal to magistrates through Public services
Tatarstan continues to introduce and develop advanced information technologies in the judicial sphere. The next important step will be the possibility to address justices of the peace through the unified portal of state and municipal services. This was announced by Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais of Tatarstan, at the meeting of judges of the republic, where the results of work for 2024 were summarized. The meeting was held in the Sovetsky district court of Kazan.
«The Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of digitalization of the Republic in cooperation with the Ministry of digitalization of Russia should intensify work on the introduction of this service for citizens», - emphasized Rais.
Rustam Minnikhanov also noted that Tatarstan has been selected as a pilot region for the implementation of the system of participation of citizens in court hearings through web conferencing. The corresponding agreement between the Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan and the Ministry of digital development, communications and mass communications of the Russian Federation was signed during the International Forum Kazan Digital Week, which was held in Kazan in 2024.
«This will significantly simplify citizens' access to justice. The Ministry of Justice of the republic should ensure the implementation of this project together with the judicial community», - Rais said.
Minister Justice Rustem Zagidullin earlier said that it will be possible to participate in court sessions using a mobile device or a computer equipped with a webcam and microphone. The project is planned to be implemented this year and will involve 51 court stations.
In addition, Rais paid special attention to the protection of the rights of the participants of the special military operation and their families, emphasizing the importance of timely provision of all necessary measures of state support. He urged to involve all state structures in this work and warned against a formal approach to solving these issues.
One of the main activities of the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan, subordinated to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, remains the provision of legal assistance to fighters and their relatives. The State Legal Bureau organizes weekly receptions of citizens on the basis of the «Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation». Since the beginning of February, 24 participants of the special military operation and their family members have already received free legal support.
Rustam Nurgaliyevich also reminded that the main event of the current year is the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Great Patriotic War. He emphasized that the memory of the heroism of the victorious generation will always live in the hearts of people.
