The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan warns citizens about a new wave of fraudulent activities related to the public services portal. In recent weeks, the number of phishing emails imitating official notifications from the «Gosuslugi» portal has increased significantly.
Fraudsters send out emails about allegedly recorded logins to a user account from a suspicious IP address. The emails contain detailed technical data: date, time, browser, and login location. To add credibility, the fraudsters use elements of the corporate style of the «Gosuslugi» portal.
At the bottom of the email, there is a contact phone number for the so-called «support service», which you are asked to call if the login was not made by the account owner. When calling the specified number, the fraudsters request personal data, as well as codes from SMS messages, which allows them to gain unauthorized access to the user's real account.

These are the first signs of fraud that you should pay attention to», - comments Rinat Fazleev, a leading specialist in the legal information technology and computer systems department of the Ministry.
