Rustem Zagidullin presented the candidacy of Rustem Nuriev for the post of head of the Elabuga region
Rustem Nuriyev has been elected head of the Yelabuzhskiy district of the Republic. The decision was made today at a meeting of the Yelabuzhskiy municipal district Council. Rustem Zagidullin, Minister of Justice of Tatarstan, submitted Nuriyev's candidacy to the deputies on behalf of Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais of the Republic.
In his speech, the minister expressed gratitude on behalf of Rustam Minnikhanov for the successful conduct of the elections for the Rais of the Republic and deputies to local government representative bodies. «Following the election results, 75.85% of the republic's voters participated in the vote. Local government elections were held in all 911 settlements, and 7,517 deputies to municipal representative bodies were elected», - said Rustem Zagidullin.
The key issue on the agenda of today's meeting was the election of the head of the Yelabuzhskiy district. Rustem Zagidullin, on behalf of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, nominated Rustem Nuriyev to the municipal deputies for election as head of the district. «Rustem Midkhatovich Nuriyev is well known to you. He has successfully led the district for the past six years. During this period, thanks to the active participation of the municipal district in various programs, significant results have been achieved», - the minister noted.
The minister emphasized that the Yelabuzhskiy district ranks first in the Republic's socio-economic development rankings for municipal districts. In 2020, the multilingual school «Adymnar» opened, and the University school was renovated. Over the past five years, 20 kitchen facilities have been overhauled, and seven «Growth points» functional zones have been created as part of the national «Education» project. In road construction, more than 112 km of roads and over 28 km of sidewalks have been built and repaired in the city and district. With the support of the «Alabuga» SEZ, two roundabouts—the «Southern» and «Northern» rings—were built in 2024 at the entrance to the city, reducing the burden on logistics entering the SEZ from both Yelabuga and the M7 highway.
«I am confident that, if elected to this responsible leadership position, Rustem Nuriyev will successfully address the most challenging tasks for the benefit of the resident of Yelabuga, the district, and our entire republic», - concluded Rustem Zagidullin.
Rustem Nuriyev's candidacy was unanimously supported by municipal deputies.
