25 September 2025, Thursday

The Ministry held a meeting to discuss the events surrounding the 2026 awarding of the G.R. Derzhavin Republican prize in jurisprudence. Representatives from 21 higher education institutions in the republic participated in the event.

The G.R. Derzhavin Republican prize was established by a Decree of the President of Tatarstan in 2016 to recognize achievements in literature and jurisprudence. In 2020, the decree was amended, establishing that the prize is awarded alternately in literature and jurisprudence. According to this arrangement, in 2026, the prize will be awarded in the field of jurisprudence.

The prize is awarded to lawyers for their research (monographs) in the field of jurisprudence. An important requirement is that the works must have been published within the last five years, but no later than one year prior to submission.

«The G.R. Derzhavin Republican prize recognizes outstanding achievements in the development of legal science. I encourage representatives of all universities in the republic to actively participate in the competition and submit their best research papers. This prize is not only an honorary award, but also an incentive for the further development of legal thought in Tatarstan», - noted First Deputy Minister Ilya Gomzik.

The laureate will be awarded the title «Laureate of the G.R. Derzhavin Republican prize» and will receive a diploma, a laureate badge, a certificate of the established format, and a cash reward of 200,000 rubles.

Applications for the prize will be accepted from January to May 2026. Official information about the start of the application process will be published on the website of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan.
