30 September 2025, Tuesday

A ceremony presenting credentials to justices of the peace was held in the parliamentary hall of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. Twenty-two justices of the peace received their credentials from State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin.

Tatarstan Minister of Justice Rustem Zagidullin, speaking to those present, noted the historical significance of the date: «The first justices of the peace were appointed in 2000. This marked the beginning of the development and formation of the republic's justice of the peace. Over the past quarter century, it can be confidently said that justice of the peace has proven its relevance and effectiveness».

The development of the institution of justices of the peace in Tatarstan relies on systematic state support. The Ministry of Justice of the Republic provides comprehensive support for the courts, from logistical equipment to methodological support. Particular attention is paid to infrastructure modernization.

As part of the state program «Development of Justice in the Republic of Tatarstan» large-scale capital and routine repairs of court buildings are carried out annually. The Minister has repeatedly emphasized that an important factor in public trust in the judicial system is the accessibility of courts to the public in terms of their location, in particular the external appearance of the building in which the court is located.
