Winner of the «Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan» program: «If the Motherland says my skills should be used to solve state problems, I will take them on»
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan held the first of three planned internships for winners of the republican program «Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan». Rustem Nigmatzyanov and Denis Basariev, who successfully passed the program's competitive selection process, participated in the two-day intensive course.
«Together with our colleagues, we decided to organize internships in key areas of the Ministry's activities. The first area is lawmaking and free legal assistance», - noted Tatarstan Minister of Justice Rustem Zagidullin at a meeting with the interns. - I wish you a fruitful internship and hope that this experience will help you decide on your future professional path in public administration», - the Minister added.
The internship program was intensive and practically oriented. The participants learned about the structure and functions of the Ministry and visited a museum displaying original documents and photographs reflecting the history of justice in the Republic. They also held an open dialogue with young specialists from the Ministry of Justice. The SMO participants shared their life experiences and discussed teamwork skills in extreme conditions, which can be useful in public service.
During the internship, special attention was paid to the work of the State Legal Bureau, one of the main providers of free legal assistance for socially vulnerable citizens. Deputy Head of the State Legal Bureau, Rafael Giniatullov, emphasized: «One of the State Legal Bureau's current priorities is supporting SMO participants and their family members. From 2022 to September 2025, nearly 7,000 people received such assistance, more than 1,400 of which were received this year».
Rustem Nigmatzyanov also learned about the activities of the Tatarstan branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia and participated in an event providing free legal assistance to residents of the republic as part of the International Day of older persons celebrations.
«I liked the practical format of the internship. It wasn't just a tour, but a real immersion in the work. If the Motherland says that my skills and knowledge should be further utilized in solving the most important state problems, I will take them on», - Rustem Nigmatzyanov shared his impressions.
As a reminder, the republican program «Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan» was initiated by the Rais of the Republic, Rustam Minnikhanov. Following the final selection, 45 participants in the special military operation were given the opportunity to build a career in state and municipal administration.
