The magistrate judge of judicial district №3 of the Chistopol district considered a fraud case. A district resident was accused of deceiving a man by offering him magical services.

The court found that the woman promised the man help in resolving personal and family problems through rituals and incantations via WhatsApp. Hoping to improve his family relationships, learn about his children's future, and improve his parents' health, the man trusted the woman and transferred 40 000 rubles in several payments.

The fraud was uncovered when the man saw no results and contacted the police. It's worth noting that the investigation was complicated by the fact that shortly after the incident, the victim himself was charged with a criminal offense unrelated to this fraud and was sentenced to prison. This led to a lengthy criminal investigation due to the impossibility of conducting investigative actions involving him.

At the fraud hearing, the woman admitted her guilt, paid compensation, and requested that the case be dismissed due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. The magistrate, considering the circumstances and the minor nature of the crime, as well as the expiration of the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution, dismissed the criminal case on the grounds of non-exonerating.

The magistrate judge urges citizens to be more careful and not to trust such promises: «You can't trust people who promise to solve your problems with magic or spells. This is a common fraudulent scheme».
