The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan planted 25 pine trees in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Tatarstan justice of the peace
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan organized an environmental campaign to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the justice of the peace institute in the republic. Twenty-five pine saplings were planted on the grounds of the Vysokogorsky school. Symbolically, each sapling represents a year of the institution's existence in the republic.
«The first 103 justices of the peace were appointed in 2000, - noted justice minister Rustem Zagidullin. In honor of the anniversary, a plan of events was developed in the republic. One of these was an environmental tree planting campaign. With the support of the Ministry of forestry of the republic and the district administration, the saplings were planted on the school grounds today», - the minister added.
School principal Igor Kutenin explained the significance of the event for the educational institution: «Our school is located on a hill and exposed to the winds, especially in the autumn and winter. The planted pine trees will become a natural barrier for the school grounds in the future, creating more comfortable conditions for our students», - he explained.
Representatives of the judicial system also noted the importance of the campaign. An assistant justice of the peace at judicial precinct № 1 in the Vysokogorsky district, who participated in the campaign, shared her impressions: «I am very pleased to take part in this campaign. I have been working in the justice of the peace system for 18 years and am proud of my profession. We always strive to help citizens who apply to the court and today we also help schoolchildren by creating a favorable environmental conditions for them».
It is worth noting that over the past quarter century, the institution of justices of the peace has become an integral part of the republic's judicial system. During this time, justices of the peace have heard over 10 million cases. In the early 2000s, there were 168 judicial precincts in Tatarstan; by 2025, this number had increased to 190. Financial support for justices of the peace is provided as part of the state program «Development of Justice in the Republic of Tatarstan». Thanks to the personal attention of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, the infrastructure of the justice of the peace is constantly being improved, creating modern and comfortable conditions for both judges and citizens seeking protection of their rights.
