In Tatarstan, the renewal of justices of the peace courts continues as part of a state program

30 October 2025, Thursday

A meeting of the Council of judges of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in Kazan to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Tatarstan justice of the peace institute. Minister of justice Rustem Zagidullin participated in the event.

A key topic of discussion was the logistical support for the offices of justices of the peace in the republic. As Rustem Zagidullin noted in his speech, logistical support for justices of the peace is a spending obligation of Russian regions. Tatarstan has been implementing a programmatic approach to address this issue since 2014. «Currently, the republic has a state program «Development of justice in the Republic of Tatarstan». Which is scheduled to run until 2029», - the minister stated.

One of the program's key areas is major and ongoing repairs to buildings housing courts. This year, major repairs to the court building in the Alekseevsky District began. «Completion of the work was originally scheduled for 2026. However, thanks to the support of the Rais of the Republic, Rustam Nurgalievich, we plan to complete the renovations by the end of 2025», - the minister emphasized.

The head of the republic's Ministry of justice also outlined plans for next year: «The 2026 capital renovation program will cover 11 buildings of justices of the peace courts in various towns and villages across the republic».

According to the minister, the systematic modernization of the court infrastructure will create modern conditions not only for justices of the peace and their staff, but also for citizens seeking judicial protection.

At the meeting, an awards ceremony was held for justices of the peace and their staff. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our colleagues!
