5 November 2025, Wednesday

A meeting of the Ministry of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan's Council of veterans was held, chaired by deputy minister of justice Mukharryam Ibyatov. The agenda included key issues related to social support for veterans, their participation in the republic's socio-political life and new digital opportunities for retirees.

At the meeting, it was noted that changes to the pension confirmation procedure came into effect on october 1, 2025, designed to make the process of receiving pension payments even more convenient and transparent.

«Now, at the pensioner's request, the pension is confirmed not only by a traditional physical certificate, but also in electronic form», - commented Mukharryam Ibyatov.

The paper pension certificate is generated based on data from the Unified centralized digital platform in the social sphere and is issued by the territorial offices of the pension and social insurance Fund. Similar information can now be accessed in your personal account on the Gosuslugi portal—as a PDF file with a QR code, which is especially relevant for modern retirees and can be requested for both presentation and printing.

During the meeting, the participation of Ministry veterans in the recent elections for the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and deputies of local government representative bodies was also discussed. Mukharryam Ibyatov noted the high civic engagement of the older generation and their significant contribution to the republic's electoral processes.

At the meeting of the Council of veterans, significant attention was given to initiatives implemented as part of the International day of older persons.

«Working with veterans for us is not just a tribute to the older generation, but also an opportunity to leverage their extensive professional experience», - the deputy minister of justice emphasized.

Mukharryam Mansurovich added that the Ministry systematically processes citizen inquiries, including in-person receptions. Particular attention is paid to requests from older people. As of october 1 of this year, the Ministry received 2,770 requests, of which 73 (3%) were from elderly citizens.
