From november 10 to 19, 2025, a comprehensive study of the functioning of justices of the peace courts is being conducted in the Sovetsky district of Kazan. This activity is being implemented within the framework of the approved plan of the Ministry of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan for improving the work of justices of the peace for 2025.
Ministry of justice staff are studying various aspects of the functioning of the courts, including the organization of court records management, the design of information stands and the organization of archival records. «During these inspections, we not only assess the current state of the courts but also provide our colleagues with the necessary methodological and practical assistance», - noted Yulia Mikhailova, head of the Ministry's department.
There are a total of 14 justices of the peace courts operating in the Sovetsky district. For the convenience of citizens, a special «Territorial jurisdiction» tab with an interactive map of the republic has been created on the Tatarstan justices of the peace portal.
«In the «Address or object» search bar located at the top of the map, enter your address and click the «Find» button. After entering the address, the corresponding justice of the peace court precinct will be marked on the map, along with all the necessary information about it: the precinct number, address, office hours and a link to the precinct's page», - explained Yulia Aleksandrovna.
In parallel with the review of the operations of the court precincts, the Ministry of justice of the Republic is implementing measures to improve their facilities. Currently, as part of the state program «Development of justice in the Republic of Tatarstan» routine repairs are underway on the building where court precincts № 3 and № 4 of the Sovetsky district will eventually relocate. While the magistrates' offices currently occupy premises with a total area of 185.8 square meters, the new premises will increase to 479.6 square meters. Significant improvements will include the addition of special escort and archive rooms, deliberation rooms for justices of the peace and general cosmetic improvements.
Tatarstan's minister of justice, Rustem Zagidullin, has repeatedly emphasized the importance of creating comfortable working conditions: «Decent conditions are equally necessary for justices of the peace and their staff, as well as for citizens who come to the courthouse seeking justice and protection of their interests».
