In Tatarstan, 93% of municipal regulations have been brought into compliance with legislation using the «Codex» system

The Ministry of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting with local governments on the implementation of the «Codex» automated information system. The event was chaired by deputy minister of justice Mukharryam Ibyatov.

Raliya Garifullina, head of the department of regulatory legal work in local government and municipal registry maintenance, presented a report on the performance of local governments in the "«Codex» automated information system for the first 11 months of this year. According to her, using the «Codex» automated information system, 39 000 local government regulations or 93% of those identified by the system, have been brought into compliance with legislation.

Deputy minister Mukharryam Ibyatov heard reports from a number of local governments whose rate of resolving discrepancies in their regulations is below the national level. The deputy minister noted that municipal rulemaking remains a priority for the ministry. «An up-to-date regulatory framework, supported by digital technologies, ensures prompt and high-quality resolution of local issues, which directly impacts citizen satisfaction with living conditions in municipalities», - he added.

Following the event, responsible officials were given recommendations on the use of the «Codex» information system in rulemaking.
