Tatarstan has started accepting works for participation in the competition for the Gavriil Romanovich Derzhavin Republican prize in the field of jurisprudence. The winner will receive a monetary reward in the amount of 200 thousand rubles.
«The Derzhavin prize has become a significant incentive for the development of legal thought in the republic. We expect to see works that will make a significant contribution to modern legal science», - said Ilya Gomzik, first deputy minister of justice of the Republic.
The G.R. Derzhavin Republican prize is awarded to lawyers for scientific research (monographs) in the field of jurisprudence, as well as to writers for particularly significant works in the field of literature that have received wide public recognition, created in russian and (or) tatar languages and popularizing the work of G.R. Derzhavin.
The prize is awarded alternately: one year in the field of literature, the other in the field of jurisprudence. In 2026, the winner will be a representative of the legal community.
According to the terms of the competition, scientific papers must be published within the last five years, but no later than one year before being submitted for the award. Republican executive authorities, scientific and public organizations, universities, cultural institutions, as well as local government bodies can nominate candidates.
«Derzhavin's works and government activities remain relevant today. The works submitted to the competition should not only reflect modern legal problems, but also offer innovative approaches to their solution», - first deputy minister emphasized.
Works for the award are accepted until may 23, 2026 at the Ministry of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan at the address: 420111, Kazan, Kremlevskaya str., 16, in room 102. For more information, please call: 8 (843) 222-60-51.
