More than 8 thousand fighters and their family members have received free legal assistance in Tatarstan since 2022

A meeting on the provision of legal assistance and legal services was held in Tatarstan under the leadership of Roman Ryaboy, director of the Department of the development and regulation of legal assistance and legal services at the Ministry of justice of the Russian Federation.

 

Ilya Gomzik, first deputy minister of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about the work of the free legal assistance system in the republic, paying special attention to the support of participants in a special military operation.

 

«Since the beginning of the special military operation, the Ministry has been involved in organizing legal support for the participants of the SMO and their family members. In total, 8 081 participants of the special military operation and their family members have been provided with legal assistance since 2022», - Ilya Gomzik said.

 

Separately, the first deputy minister focused on the issues of digitalization of legal services. Ilya Alexandrovich spoke about the mobile application «Map of a resident of the Republic of Tatarstan», where a special section «Legal assistance» has been created.

 

In 2025, 121 people received free legal assistance through the app. In total, the application was downloaded by almost 344 thousand users, of whom more than 5 thousand applied to the «Legal assistance» section.

 

In addition, residents of the republic can now receive legal advice via video link.

 

«To use the service, you need to contact the nearest MFC point and inform the employee about your desire to receive free legal advice», - Ilya Gomzik explained.
