The Ministry of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting of the working group of the Interdepartmental coordinating committee on legal issues, where they discussed a draft law on job quotas for combat veterans. The Working group was led by first deputy minister of justice Ilya Gomzik.
The bill provides for the establishment of a quota of 1% of the average number of employees for organizations with more than 200 employees operating in the republic.
«The draft law was developed in order to create additional employment guarantees for citizens with the status of combat veterans», - the meeting noted.
According to the proposed document, the quota will be considered fulfilled if there is an employment contract between a combat veteran and an employer, or if a veteran's employment agreement is concluded with another organization, including public associations of the disabled.
Employers who meet the established quotas are planned to be given the priority right to receive investments from the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to Tatarstan statistics, the innovation will affect about 875 employers in the republic. It is planned to establish administrative liability for violation of quota requirements in the Codex of the Republic of Tatarstan on administrative offenses.
«The implementation of the bill will contribute to the successful employment of citizens from among the veterans of military operations», - the participants of the meeting emphasized.
Following the discussion of the draft law, it was decided to identify the position of the Ministry of labor and social protection of Russia on it.
