In the new issue of the anti-corruption bulletin, the Minister of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin, presented the results of a systematic approach to anti-corruption work in the republic, noting a significant decrease in the number of corruption situations among the population.
«The system of anti—corruption activities formed in the republic is based on the principles of consistency, transparency and involvement of civil society», - Rustem Zagidullin emphasized.
The Minister noted that the implementation of the state program «Implementation of the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Tatarstan» involves federal and republican state authorities, local governments and public organizations - more than 100 performers in total.
One of the key tools for assessing the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures is the annual sociological «Study of public opinion on corruption in the Republic of Tatarstan» conducted by the Ministry of economy. The study involves various social groups — workers, pensioners, students and entrepreneurs.
«Since 2011, the share of respondents who have been involved in a corruption situation at least once in the last year has more than doubled, from 21,2% in 2011 to 9,6% in 2024», - the minister cited specific data.
According to the minister, much attention is paid to information work in the republic. The Republican agency for press and mass communications «Tatmedia» is responsible for the preparation and production of television programs on legal education of the population, the development and broadcast of anti-corruption social videos, as well as for holding a journalistic competition among the republican media.
Over the past two years, more than 13 thousands anti-corruption materials have been published in Tatarstan's mass media.
