Combat veterans will be eligible for additional leave
The State Duma has passed a law granting combat veterans, including participants in their military operations, the right to additional leave. The Federation Council also approved this document at its plenary session.
According to the amendments to article 16 of the Federal law «On veterans», certain categories of military personnel will be able to receive up to 35 days of additional unpaid leave annually.
«Veterans of Afghanistan, participants in operations in Syria and military personnel performing tasks in the SMO zone will receive the right», - explains Ilham Midkhatov, a leading specialist at the State law bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In 2025, the list of categories of citizens eligible for such assistance was expanded with parents with many children and persons who lost both or a single parent during their studies.
