The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan announced the results of its traditional «They Fought for the Motherland!» drawing competition, which this year was held as part of the Year of Military and Labor Valor. The competition featured children of Ministry staff, justices of the peace, and veterans of the civil service, who shared their creative vision of the heroism of the defenders of the Fatherland.
The young artists, aged 5 to 17, conveyed their deep respect for the generation of victors through their works, capturing the images of heroes and important historical moments of the Great Patriotic War.
Following the results of the creative competition, the jury selected winners in two age categories:
In the 5-10 years category:
I place – Amalia Albertovna Abdullina for her work «They Fought for the Motherland»;
II place – Samat Ildusovich Khafizov for her drawing «Hero and Child: The Connection Between Generations»;
III place – Saida Ildusovna Khafizova for her work «1941–1945: Lines Warmed by the Heart».
In the 11–17 years category:
I place – Elina Sergeevna Petrova for her work «On the Battlefield»;
II place – Ralina Arturovna Gubaidullina for her drawing «They Fought for the Motherland»;
III place – Ralina Gadelevna Garifullina for her work «They Fought for the Motherland».
Farida Nuriyeva, Head of the Department of Organizational Work and Workflow, noted that selecting the winners is a difficult task for the jury every year: «This kind tradition is held in honor of the great Victory, and this year, as part of the Year of Military and Labor Valor, it takes on special significance. We see how children cherish the history of their country, and this inspires confidence that the memory of the people's heroism will be carefully passed down from generation to generation».
