The republican competition for the Gavriil Romanovich Derzhavin Prize in jurisprudence is entering its final application period. Applicants have until May 23, 2026, inclusive, as First Deputy Minister of Justice Ilya Gomzik announced during a meeting.
The prize is awarded annually to authors of scientific research—monographs in the field of law—that have received widespread public recognition, written in russian and/or tatar, and aimed at popularizing Derzhavin's work. The prize fund is 200,000 rubles.
The right to nominate candidates is granted to republican executive authorities, government agencies, research institutes, educational institutions, cultural organizations, and municipalities.
