15 June 2026, Monday

To improve the quality of legal support for municipalities, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the Higher School of Public and Municipal Administration at Kazan Federal University, have developed a new educational program.

Today, Ilya Gomzik, First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the opening of this course. The training, which is being held entirely online, will be attended by 30 newly hired legal service employees from eight municipal districts of the republic. These include secretaries, chief specialists, and deputy heads, including those from the Nizhnekamsky, Muslyumovsky, and Mendeleyevsky districts.

As Albert Kamalutdinov, Head of the Department of Legal Advisory and Methodological Support for Local Governments, explained, the choice of online learning was due to the geographical distance of the district centers from Kazan and is aimed at increasing accessibility to education. «The course program covers key aspects of municipal service. The participants will study the specifics of lawmaking and legal technique at the municipal level, the procedure for conducting anti-corruption assessments of draft regulatory legal acts, and issues of legal regulation of local self-government», - he added.

Welcoming the participants, First Deputy Minister Ilya Gomzik noted the close cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the republic's municipalities. He emphasized that this initiative will help new employees adapt more quickly and achieve the required level of competence. This type of training enhances the professionalism of the employees themselves and strengthens the stability of the legal framework in municipalities.

In conclusion, Ilya Gomzik expressed hope that the training would be fruitful and wished all participants excellent results.
