Expanded meeting of the expert council by the Commissioner for human rights in the Republic of Tatarstan

On 31st of January, 2017 first deputy minister of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan R.I.Zagidullin made a report on "The implementation of human rights policies in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014 - 2018" at the expanded meeting of the Expert council by the Commissioner for human rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, which was held with the participation of Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan I.Sh. Khalikov.

At the report was made the results of the execution of individual measures of the Strategy in 2016.

In the field of free legal aid, was adopted the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan on12th of December, 2016 № 99-LRT "On amendments to articles 12 and 13 of the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan" On the provision of free legal assistance to citizens in the Republic of Tatarstan ", extending the list of categories of citizens eligible to receive free legal aid. Now rehabilitated persons and persons recognized as victims of political repression, can receive qualified legal aid lawyers for free.

In addition, citizens are given the opportunity online to find the most convenient address to receive free legal aid, due to the start of the project to deploy on an interactive map of Tatarstan (Tatarstan Geoportal, http://geoportal.glonass-112.net) points with information on location, phones, the time of reception of citizens and other information about the participants of free legal aid.

In addition to the designated directions, within the framework of the Strategy carried out activities in the educational and cultural spheres, in the sphere of national policy, the protection of public health, environment and others.
