New in legislation about local government

The the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan of February 22, 2017 No. 7-LRT "On amending to articles 8 and 42 of the Code of the Republic of Tatarstan on municipal service" reduced the qualification requirements for the length of service from one year to six months and the length of service in the specialty from two years to one year for the replacement of the leading posts of the municipal service for persons who have a diploma of a specialist or a master's degree with distinction (these requirements are valid for three years from the date of issuance of the diploma).

The law also provides for a norm allowing (for the period of 1st of January, 2018) municipal legal acts to reduce from five to three years the qualification requirements for length of service in the specialty for the replacement of the post of deputy head (secretary) of the executive committee of the rural settlement.
