Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan "On Local Self-Government in the Republic of Tatarstan"

The Law of the Republic of Tatarstan of March 16, 2018 No. 10-LRT amended articles 15, 16, 17, 35 of the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan "On Local Self-Government in the Republic of Tatarstan".

The law was published on March 16, 2019 on the Official Portal of Legal Information of the Republic of Tatarstan http://pravo.tatarstan.ru.

The law clarifies issues of local importance in the areas of road activity, landscaping, management of solid municipal waste, and support for volunteerism.

A new form of participation of the population in the implementation of local self-government has been introduced - public discussions.

The possibility of holding citizens' gatherings on the introduction and use of self-taxation funds for citizens on the territory of a settlement that is part of a settlement or a city district has been established (previously these issues were resolved in local referenda (citizen gatherings) held throughout the municipality).

The law enters into force 10 days after the day of its official publication, with the exception of provisions for which Article 2 of the Law establishes other terms for their entry into force.
