Purpose-oriented program for the development of justice of the peace approved in the Republic of Tatarstan

On 20th September Long-term purpose-oriented program “Development of the Institute of Peace Justice in Tatarstan for 2013 – 2015 time period” prepared by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan in accordance with instructions by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov and Prime-Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan I.Sh. Khalikov was approved in declaration issued by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Justice of peace is the most important part of the judicial system of Russia bearing the main brunt on settling criminal and civil cases.
As for now there are 182 JPs employed in the sphere supervising 46 per cent of all the уголовных дел, 76 per cent of civil cases and more than 97 per cent of matters concerning administrative breaches of law. The efficiency of streamlining judicial system in Tatarstan is heavily dependent of the state of peace justice.
The main goals of the program are as follows: improving conditions for court districts location for JPs; increase in the level of technical endurance to ensure anti-terrorism sustainability of court districts; IT and communication technologies development at court districts; strengthening equipment supply for court districts; increase of JPs’ qualification.
The volume of finance is estimated to be at the level around 180 mln rubles which will be allocated from state budget.
According to the draft federal law «On Amendments to the Federal Law «On Insolvency (Bankruptcy) », a new mechanism for the sale of debtors' only residences during bankruptcy proceedings is planned.
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in a job fair for law graduates. Leniza Galeeva, Leading counsellor of the staff department and government service, held consultations for approximately 40 interested students.
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan to discuss the implementation of the automated information system «Kodeks» by the republic's public authorities. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister Mukharryam Ibyatov.
