Poetry festival dedicated to the 277th anniversary of the birth of Gavriil Derzhavin.

Today, July 14, a poetry festival was held to mark the 277th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding statesman, great Russian poet, and first Minister of justice of Russia, Gavriil Romanovich Derzhavin.

According to the established tradition, the event began in the Lyadsky garden of Kazan, where Minister of justice Rustem Zagidullin together with culture Minister Irada Ayupova laid flowers at the monument to Gabriel Romanovich.

The event continued in Laishevsky district, where the winners of the Gavriil Derzhavin Republican prize in law and literature in 2020 were announced.

The winner of the award in 2020 in the field of law was Marina Efremova for the monograph "Criminal law protection of information security".

In the field of literature, the winner of the award was Boris G. Weiner for the book "Nowhere to fall!" (poems and translations for children) and "Diamond mountain" (a fairy-tale play).

The events were held in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological requirements.
